Yes it is possible and in fact ist has happened. Another great Android Modder has successfully overclocked the 528MHZ on the MT3g and the G1 to 780MHZ. Eugene373 has done it again, this time he successfully managed to overclock the MT3G and G1 to 780MHZ. This is insane given the fact that the processor was only rated at 528MHZ max. There has even been reports of them running at 1GHZ, this is Nexus One speeds! As usual, try this at your own risk, this does void your warranty and may kill your phone. The only person responsible for that will be you. With that being said enjoy and ther will be more to come. This is great news for our European viewers. You now can put in your order for the very sexy and powerful 1GHZ Sony X10. This equates to roughly $682.54 USD’s. This is still a high priced phone but at least it is less than the rumored $900. Unfortunately, this phone probably can’t be shipped to the US although I can not verify this at this time. So if you live in the UK head over and put in your order. This ships to most of Europe. Also, Sony has announced that they are planning on upgrading this phone to Android 2.1 shortly after it is released. Android Market handles sales through Google Checkout. I haven’t tried selling anything else online before, but what this setup provides for me as the seller leaves a lot to be desired. One issue you will have trouble with is getting the data needed to file taxes. Google provides a Google Checkout Notification History API that lets you programmatically query sales data. For my purposes the API requests are really simple: just post a small XML document with the date range I am interested in, get back XML documents that contain my data. If there is more data that fits in a single response, look... (more...)
We were expecting HTC to have another big announcement at Mobile World Congress this year, so we were not that surprised when a tipster sent us a copy of HTC’s press conference invitation this morning. The PDF we received was in German, but from what we would tell, the invitation did not indicate what HTC would be unveiling at Mobile World Congress. HTC goes mention that there will be new devices and innovations. HTC’s press conference will be held at 10:30 on February 16th. Last year, HTC unveiled the HTC Touch Diamond2 and Pro2 at Mobile World Congress. According to HTC’s... (more...)
